Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze how far the teacher is able to carry out learning, periodically the principal needs to carry out supervision activities at SMP Negeri 19 Palembang. School quality is related to the supervision of the principal. This research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The results of the research show that the implementation of educational supervision has been going quite well, this can be seen in the implementation of supervision carried out by the school principal. Teachers teach without using learning devices. Likewise, MGMP activities have been followed by the teacher and are quite good. Be aware of the usefulness of the activity as increasing competence, developing professionalism, and increasing the teacher's knowledge and skills. Teacher competence is the competence possessed by the teacher which is a factor that influences the achievement of teacher performance in learning. Teacher competence includes pedagogic competence, personal competence, social competence, and competence. The four competencies are owned by almost all subject teachers, both homeroom and class teachers who are researchers.
